The inspiration for this mural in my home office came from a day my husband and I spent in Joshua Tree National Park - a day of freedom, laughter, and rediscovery beneath the vast desert sky. As I painted, memories resurfaced: the sculptural rock formations, the twisted grace of the Joshua trees, and the liberating joy of our spontaneous naked hike - a moment of openness that led us to get lost, both literally and metaphorically, before finding our way back together.
The mural became a reflection of that journey - of our adventurous spirit, our love, and the landscape that held us through it. Its flowing lines and muted tones echo the desert’s quiet strength and infinite horizon, turning my workspace into a daily reminder of connection, wonder, and the beauty of finding oneself through another.
